Stuart Munro

Performance Psychologist

Stu Munro is an experienced Performance Psychologist having worked with a diverse group of elite athletes and corporate clients for around 5 years. Presently his main role is mental performance coach to the Canadian Paralympic Alpine Ski Team, and also offers psychological support services to individuals and corporate organisations seeking improvements in performance and wellbeing. He is involved in leading a major wellbeing initiative at the National Team level, liaising with well-renowned academics to help implement and measure psychological safety. Working with elite athletes in high performance contexts from Canada, GB, NZ and Australia, has helped equip Stu in providing support, skills training and resources that enable his clients to perform at their best, and protect their wellbeing, even in the most pressurised environments.

Stu has a MSc in Sport & Exercise Psychology with distinction from the sport-renowned Loughborough University. He continues to be involved in research, particularly around mindfulness-based skills training for people in high performance environments. He views continued training as essential part of being able to provide the best continued support, and has training, learning and experience in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Compassion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia. This learning and experience has endowed Stu to be a performance and wellbeing specialist.

Stu is a member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS).
