Joanna is an integrative psychotherapist and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
A former human rights solicitor, she spent 10 years practicing civil litigation, inquests and public inquries.
Since 2017 she has supported lawyers and other frontline workers through training and reflective practice, including setting up and running specialist services for frontline NHS workers and council staff during the Covid pandemic.
She has particular expertise in supporting lawyers dealing with the emotional impact of the work, with an MSc in Psychology, researching vicarious trauma in the legal profession. She co-wrote ‘Vicarious Trauma in the Legal Profession’, described as an “indispensable” book in the Law Society Gazette.
